Aaliyah - Aaliyah (Vinyl 2LP)

Aaliyah is the self-titled third and final studio album from Aaliyah, originally released in 2001. A landmark of early-2000s R&B, the album showcases the smooth, understated vocal style and forward-thinking production that made Aaliyah one of the era's most influential artists, blending contemporary R&B with electronic textures, pop, funk and hip-hop.

The album features some of Aaliyah's most celebrated recordings, including We Need A Resolution featuring Timbaland, More Than A Woman, Rock The Boat and Try Again. Across its 15 tracks, the record moves effortlessly between atmospheric slow jams and adventurous, rhythm-driven production, with further highlights including I Care 4 U, Extra Smooth, Read Between The Lines and What If.

Released five years after One In A Million, Aaliyah represented a major artistic step forward, presenting a more mature and experimental sound while retaining the understated delivery that had become Aaliyah's signature. The album has since become an essential release in modern R&B and a lasting showcase of the musical direction Aaliyah was pursuing at the height of her career.

This vinyl reissue presents the complete 15-track album across two black vinyl LPs, housed in a gatefold jacket. The track listing includes Try Again, which closes Side D.
