Caroline Polachek – Pang (180g Vinyl LP)

Pang is the debut studio album released under Caroline Polachek’s own name, originally arriving in 2019. Following her work with Chairlift and earlier solo projects, Polachek uses the album to explore an intricate mix of art pop, electronic production and experimental songwriting, centred around her remarkably expressive vocals.

The album includes So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings, Door, Ocean of Tears and Hit Me Where It Hurts. Across its 14 tracks, Pang moves between soaring pop melodies, unusual vocal arrangements and detailed electronic textures, shifting effortlessly from intimate moments to expansive, dramatic production.

Polachek worked closely with producer Danny L Harle on the record, alongside contributors including A. G. Cook, Daniel Nigro and Jim-E Stack. The result established the adventurous pop direction that would become central to Polachek’s subsequent solo work.

This 180g Vinyl LP edition is pressed on black vinyl and presents all 14 tracks across two sides. It also includes a 24" × 36" double-sided poster featuring the album lyrics.
