Northlane – Discoveries (LP) Vinyl Record

Discoveries introduced Northlane’s combination of tightly controlled heaviness, atmospheric passages and searching lyrics. Released in 2011, the Sydney band’s debut uses rhythmically precise guitars and forceful vocals while allowing quieter textures to create distance between the heavier sections.

Dispossession and Abrasumente establish the record’s approach early, while the title track and Solitude offer more space within its ten-song sequence. I Shook Hands with Death closes the album with the contrast between aggression and atmosphere that would remain important to the group’s sound.

This edition is pressed on clear and white split vinyl with orange and purple splatter, presenting the original ten tracks across two sides.
