Shawn Mendes – Wonder (Vinyl LP)

Wonder is the fourth studio album from Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, originally released in December 2020. Building on the international success of his previous albums, Wonder showcases a more expansive and emotionally mature sound, combining contemporary pop, atmospheric rock influences and soulful ballads with Mendes' distinctive vocals and deeply personal songwriting.

The album features the soaring title track Wonder, alongside standout songs including Higher, 24 Hours, Teach Me How to Love and Call My Friends. Further highlights include the atmospheric Dream, the introspective Song for No One, Always Been You and the uplifting Look Up at the Stars. Moving between intimate acoustic moments and powerful, cinematic arrangements, the record captures Mendes at a significant stage in his musical development.

Created with collaborators including Kid Harpoon, Frank Dukes and Scott Harris, Wonder embraces a richer and more ambitious production style than Mendes' earlier releases. Layered harmonies, sweeping instrumentation, expressive guitar arrangements and dynamic percussion complement his passionate vocal performances, while the lyrics explore love, vulnerability, self-reflection and personal growth.

Following the success of his 2018 self-titled album and the global hit Señorita, recorded with Camila Cabello, Wonder marked another important chapter in Shawn Mendes' career. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, becoming his fourth consecutive chart-topping studio album in the United States and further establishing him as one of contemporary pop's leading singer-songwriters.

This official Island Records vinyl edition presents the album on a single black vinyl LP, featuring 13 tracks across two sides. Released on vinyl in 2021, this pressing includes the songs Wonder, Higher, 305 and Always Been You, offering fans the opportunity to experience the album's atmospheric production and heartfelt performances on vinyl.
