DZ Deathrays are a Brisbane rock band known for combining heavy guitar riffs, punk energy and danceable rhythms with a loud, direct approach built for live shows. Formed in 2008 by Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley and later expanding with guitarist Lachlan Ewbank, the band grew from house-party beginnings into one of Australia's established alternative rock acts. Their catalogue moves between dance-punk, noise rock, garage rock and heavier alternative sounds while retaining a distinctly energetic Australian character.
At Heathen Records, we stock a growing selection of DZ Deathrays vinyl records in Australia, covering releases from across their career. Whether you're discovering their early records or following the band's continuing evolution, explore DZ Deathrays LPs available on vinyl from our independent Australian record store.

Essential DZ Deathrays Albums on Vinyl
Bloodstreams (2012) – DZ Deathrays' debut studio album captures the raw dance-punk and noise-rock energy of their early years. The record features Gebbie Street, Dollar Chills and No Sleep, establishing the heavy riffs and restless rhythms that became central to the band's sound.
Black Rat (2014) – The band's second album expands their sound without losing its direct punk attack. Featuring Gina Works at Hearts, Northern Lights and Reflective Skull, the record pairs bigger guitar arrangements with the intensity of their earlier material.
Bloody Lovely (2018) – Featuring Shred for Summer, Total Meltdown, Like People and Bad Influence, the band's third album pushes their riff-heavy sound toward bigger hooks and a broader alternative-rock approach.
Easing Out of Control (2026) – DZ Deathrays' seventh studio album balances their blistering rock foundations with more exploratory songwriting. Featuring Sideways, Real Love, Demolition and the title track, the record continues the band's evolution while retaining the energy and guitar-driven character of their earlier work.
