Airbourne – Airbourne (Vinyl LP)

Australian hard rock powerhouse Airbourne return with their self-titled sixth studio album, Airbourne, released in 2026. Seven years after Boneshaker, the Warrnambool band deliver another full-throttle collection of electrifying guitar riffs, thunderous drums and anthemic rock 'n' roll. Fronted by Joel O'Keeffe, Airbourne continue to fly the flag for uncompromising Australian hard rock, drawing on the spirit of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Angels while bringing their own relentless energy to every track.

Opening with the explosive Gutsy, the album launches straight into the band's signature high-voltage sound. Alive After Death (Last Plane Out), Here She Comes and Kid in a Candy Store keep the momentum rolling with driving rhythms and massive guitar hooks. Across the second side, Christmas Bonus, Last Man Standing and Rock 'n' Roll Ya showcase Airbourne's love of loud, unapologetic rock, before Send Me to Rock 'n' Roll Heaven brings the album to a fitting close.

Recorded at Music Farm Studio near Byron Bay, the album reunites Airbourne with producer Brian Howes and engineer Mike Fraser, with mixing by Zakk Cervini. The sessions used the original Neve recording console from Alberts Studios, a legendary piece of Australian rock history associated with recordings by AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Angels. This 2026 edition is pressed on black vinyl LP through Spinefarm Records, capturing the band's explosive sound across twelve tracks.
