Arctic Monkeys – Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino (Vinyl LP)

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is the sixth studio album from English rock band Arctic Monkeys, originally released in 2018. Following the huge success of AM, the band took a dramatic turn into a more cinematic, piano-led sound, blending art rock, psychedelic pop, lounge influences and retro-futuristic atmosphere into one of the most distinctive albums in their catalogue.

The 11-track album features Four Out Of Five, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino and fan favourite Star Treatment, alongside highlights including One Point Perspective, American Sports, Batphone and the closing The Ultracheese. Alex Turner's surreal storytelling runs throughout the record, creating a fictional luxury hotel and casino on the Moon as the setting for observations on technology, celebrity, consumerism and modern life.

Produced by James Ford and Alex Turner, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino was recorded across Los Angeles, Paris and London. Much of the album developed from songs Turner wrote at the piano, helping move Arctic Monkeys away from the guitar-heavy attack of their earlier records towards spacious arrangements built around keyboards, bass, restrained guitars and richly layered production.

This standard vinyl edition presents the complete 11-track album on a single black vinyl LP, housed in a gatefold sleeve with booklet.
