Beastie Boys - Ill Communication (180g Remastered Vinyl 2LP)

Ill Communication is the fourth studio album from Beastie Boys, originally released in 1994. One of the trio's most adventurous records, it moves effortlessly between hip hop, hardcore punk, funk, jazz and instrumental grooves, combining inventive sampling with live instrumentation and the irreverent energy that made Beastie Boys one of the most distinctive groups of their era.

The 20-track album features some of the band's best-known songs, including Sabotage, Sure Shot, Root Down and Get It Together featuring Q-Tip. Other highlights include Alright Hear This, Flute Loop, Heart Attack Man and the instrumental Sabrosa, while Biz Markie appears on Do It.

Co-produced by Beastie Boys and Mario Caldato Jr., Ill Communication captures Mike D, MCA and Ad-Rock combining their hip hop roots with the live-band approach developed on Check Your Head. The result is a genre-crossing album that shifts between rhymes, distorted guitars, percussion-heavy jams and atmospheric instrumentals without losing its unmistakable Beastie Boys identity.

This remastered edition was overseen by the band and presents the complete original 20-track album across two 180g black vinyl LPs, housed in a gatefold sleeve.
