Calum Scott – Only Human (Vinyl LP)

Only Human is the heartfelt 2018 debut studio album from British singer-songwriter Calum Scott. Featuring You Are the Reason, Dancing on My Own and Rhythm Inside, it blends emotional pop ballads with soulful vocals and modern electronic production.

Scott first reached a worldwide audience through Britain's Got Talent in 2015, where his stripped-back performance of Robyn's Dancing on My Own became a breakthrough moment. His interpretation transformed the dance-pop original into an intimate song of longing, establishing the expressive vocal style that defines this album.

Opening track If Our Love Is Wrong sets a reflective tone, while Give Me Something builds from vulnerable verses into a powerful chorus. Rhythm Inside adds a pulsing electronic backdrop, balancing the album's quieter moments with contemporary pop energy.

You Are the Reason is the emotional centrepiece, a piano-led ballad co-written by Scott, Jon Maguire and Corey James Sanders. Produced by Fraser T Smith, it showcases Scott's ability to deliver a soaring chorus without losing the intimacy of the song. Come Back Home and Stop Myself (Only Human) complete the first side with themes of separation, regret and resilience.

Side B opens with the moving Dancing on My Own. Only You and Won't Let You Down offer warmth and reassurance, while What I Miss Most reflects on home and belonging. The gentle Hotel Room closes the record on a personal note.

This 2018 Capitol Records vinyl LP presents the original eleven-track vinyl sequence on black vinyl. An excellent choice for listeners who enjoy powerful voices, piano ballads and contemporary singer-songwriter pop.
