Charley Crockett - Lil' G.L. Presents: Jukebox Charley (Vinyl LP)

Lil' G.L. Presents: Jukebox Charley is a 2022 album from American country singer-songwriter Charley Crockett. The fourth instalment in his Lil' G.L. tribute series, the record digs deep into country music's past, filtering a collection of lesser-known classics through Crockett's distinctive "Gulf & Western" blend of traditional country, blues, soul, Cajun and western swing.

The 14-track collection includes Make Way For A Better Man, Home Motel, Jukebox Charley, I Hope It Rains At My Funeral and Out Of Control. Rather than simply revisiting familiar standards, Crockett draws from songs written by figures including Willie Nelson, Tom T. Hall, Johnny Paycheck, George Jones and Jerry Reed, alongside more obscure selections from the country songbook.

Jukebox Charley was produced by Crockett's longtime collaborator Billy Horton. The album showcases Crockett's ability to take vintage material and make it his own, combining classic honky-tonk storytelling with blues, R&B, western swing and roots influences while retaining the character of the original songs.

This Vinyl LP edition presents the complete 14-track album on a single black vinyl record, with seven tracks on each side.
