Chris Cornell - Higher Truth (180g Vinyl 2LP)

Released in 2015, Higher Truth is the fifth and final solo studio album from Chris Cornell. Moving away from the heavier sound associated with Soundgarden and Audioslave, the album places Cornell's extraordinary voice and songwriting at the centre of a more intimate collection influenced by folk, acoustic rock and singer-songwriter traditions.

Produced by Brendan O'Brien, Higher Truth features standout tracks including "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart", "Before We Disappear", "Murderer of Blue Skies" and the title track "Higher Truth". Acoustic guitars, mandolin, piano and understated percussion provide a spacious backdrop for Cornell's unmistakable vocals.

The album reveals a reflective side of Cornell's songwriting, with tracks such as "Dead Wishes", "Josephine", "Only These Words" and "Circling" exploring love, loss and personal experience through restrained arrangements. The result is a deeply personal record that stands apart from much of his work with Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave.

This 180g Vinyl 2LP edition presents the album across four sides of heavyweight vinyl and includes four additional tracks on Side D: "Bend in the Road", "Wrong Side", "Misery Chain" and a remix of "Our Time in the Universe". The two records are housed in a gatefold jacket with foil stamping and an included insert.
