Cloud Control – Bliss Release (15th Anniversary Limited Black BioVinyl LP)

Bliss Release is the debut studio album from Australian indie band Cloud Control, originally released in 2010. Blending psychedelic pop, indie rock, folk influences and soaring vocal harmonies, the album became one of the defining Australian indie releases of its era and helped establish the Blue Mountains group nationally and internationally.

The 10-track album features Cloud Control favourites including There's Nothing In The Water We Can't Fight, Gold Canary, Ghost Story and Meditation Song #2 (Why, Oh Why?). Further highlights including Just For Now, Hollow Drums and Beast Of Love showcase the album's combination of atmospheric psychedelia, infectious melodies and layered vocal harmonies.

Bliss Release was met with widespread acclaim on its original release, reaching the Top 20 of the ARIA Albums Chart and winning the Australian Music Prize. It also earned Cloud Control AIR Awards for Best Independent Album and Best Breakthrough Artist, helping cement the record's place in the Australian independent music landscape.

This 15th Anniversary Edition marks the album's first official vinyl release in Australia. Pressed on 140g Black BioVinyl, it is presented in a gatefold sleeve featuring expanded original artwork. BioVinyl replaces fossil-fuel-derived ingredients traditionally used in PVC with bio-based materials such as recycled vegetable oil, significantly reducing the carbon footprint associated with the vinyl compound.
