D'Angelo – Voodoo (180g Vinyl 2LP)

Originally released in 2000, Voodoo is the second studio album from D'Angelo and one of the defining records of the neo-soul movement. Created during an extraordinary period of collaboration at New York's Electric Lady Studios, the album blends soul, funk, R&B, jazz and hip hop into a deep, loose and unmistakably organic sound.

Featuring classics including "Untitled (How Does It Feel)", "Devil's Pie", "Left & Right" and "Send It On", Voodoo is built around hypnotic grooves, layered vocals and remarkably intricate musicianship. Tracks such as "Spanish Joint", "Chicken Grease", "The Root" and "Africa" further showcase the album's rich and unconventional approach to rhythm and arrangement.

Produced primarily by D'Angelo, the sessions featured an exceptional group of musicians associated with the Soulquarians collective, including Questlove, Pino Palladino, James Poyser and Roy Hargrove, alongside contributions from artists including Method Man, Redman and Raphael Saadiq. The result is a record whose influence can still be heard throughout contemporary R&B and soul.

This 180g Vinyl 2LP edition presents the complete 13-track album across four sides of heavyweight black vinyl. The original artwork has been expanded into a gatefold package, with liner notes by Jason King featuring interviews with musicians and collaborators involved in the album.
