David Bowie – Young Americans (180g Remastered Vinyl LP)

Young Americans is the ninth studio album from David Bowie, originally released in 1975. Marking a dramatic departure from the glam rock of his earlier records, Bowie immersed himself in American soul, funk and R&B, creating the smooth, rhythm-driven sound he famously described as "plastic soul".

The eight-track album features two of Bowie's most enduring songs, Young Americans and Fame, alongside highlights including Win, Fascination, Right and Somebody Up There Likes Me. The album also includes Bowie's interpretation of The Beatles' Across The Universe.

Much of Young Americans was recorded at Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia with producer Tony Visconti and musicians including Carlos Alomar and a young Luther Vandross. Later sessions in New York brought John Lennon into the project, contributing to Across The Universe and co-writing Fame with Bowie and Carlos Alomar.

This vinyl edition features the 2016 remastered audio and presents the complete eight-track album on a 180g heavyweight black vinyl LP.
