Deftones - Koi No Yokan (Gatefold Vinyl LP)

Koi No Yokan is the seventh studio album from American alternative metal band Deftones, originally released in 2012. Combining crushing guitar riffs, atmospheric soundscapes and the haunting vocals of Chino Moreno, the album showcases the band's distinctive ability to balance heaviness with melody, creating one of the most immersive and emotionally powerful releases in their catalogue.

The 11-track album features standout songs including Swerve City, Tempest, Leathers and Rosemary, alongside fan favourites Entombed, Romantic Dreams, Poltergeist and Goon Squad. From the driving riffs of Swerve City to the expansive, dreamlike atmosphere of Rosemary, the record moves effortlessly between explosive metal and shimmering, melodic passages.

Produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who also worked on the band's acclaimed 2010 album Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan features Chino Moreno on vocals and guitar, Stephen Carpenter on guitar, Sergio Vega on bass, Abe Cunningham on drums and Frank Delgado on keyboards and electronics. The album's layered production combines alternative metal, shoegaze-inspired textures and experimental rock influences into a rich, cinematic listening experience.

The Japanese phrase Koi No Yokan describes the feeling upon meeting someone that falling in love with them is inevitable. That sense of anticipation and emotional intensity runs throughout the album, with its contrasting moods, expansive arrangements and powerful performances helping establish it as a favourite among Deftones fans.

This official Reprise Records vinyl edition presents the complete 11-track album on a single black vinyl LP, housed in a gatefold sleeve with a lyric insert.
