Esperanza Spalding – Radio Music Society (10th Anniversary 180g Vinyl 2LP)

Originally released in 2012, Radio Music Society is the fourth studio album from Esperanza Spalding and one of the most celebrated releases of her career. Blending jazz, soul, R&B and sophisticated pop songwriting, the album pairs Spalding's virtuosic bass playing and expressive vocals with a richly arranged ensemble of musicians and guests.

Featuring standout tracks including "Radio Song", "Black Gold", "Cinnamon Tree" and "City Of Roses", the album moves effortlessly between jazz improvisation, soulful grooves and accessible melodic songwriting. It went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album.

The record features an impressive cast of collaborators including Q-Tip, Terri Lyne Carrington, Jack DeJohnette, Joe Lovano, Lionel Loueke, Lalah Hathaway and Gretchen Parlato, giving the album a broad and adventurous musical palette while keeping Spalding's distinctive voice at its centre.

This 10th Anniversary Edition 180g Vinyl 2LP was released in 2022 and presents the complete 12-track album across four sides of heavyweight vinyl. Pressed at RTI and housed in a gatefold jacket, it offers a premium vinyl presentation of one of Esperanza Spalding's defining albums.
