Frank Sinatra – Platinum (70th Capitol Collection) (Vinyl 4LP Box Set)

Platinum (70th Capitol Collection) celebrates Frank Sinatra and the recordings that defined his extraordinary years with Capitol Records. Released in 2023 to mark the 70th anniversary of his signing to the label, this four-LP box set brings together 44 performances spanning timeless standards, swinging favourites and rare studio material.

Sinatra's Capitol period, beginning in 1953, saw him work with celebrated arrangers including Nelson Riddle and Billy May. His expressive phrasing, remarkable sense of swing and ability to tell a story transformed songs into intimate performances. Highlights here include I've Got You Under My Skin, Young at Heart, Come Fly with Me, Witchcraft and In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning.

The final LP opens the studio vaults with alternate takes, session recordings and radio spots, offering a fascinating glimpse of Sinatra at work. Newly remastered audio and a large-format hardcover presentation featuring rare photographs, an introductory essay and reflections from Sinatra and his arrangers make this a standout collector's edition.
