Garbage – Witness To Your Love (Limited Edition RSD 12" Transparent Red Vinyl)

Witness to Your Love is a special four-track EP from alternative rock pioneers Garbage, released exclusively for Record Store Day 2023. Pressed on striking transparent red 12-inch vinyl, this limited-edition release brings together a rare recording, an inventive cover version and two previously unreleased songs, offering collectors a fascinating addition to the band's catalogue.

Fronted by Shirley Manson alongside Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig, Garbage emerged in the mid-1990s with a distinctive combination of alternative rock, electronic production and powerful songwriting. From their groundbreaking self-titled debut to later albums including Version 2.0, Bleed Like Me and No Gods No Masters, the band has consistently explored the boundaries between guitar-driven rock and experimental electronic music.

The EP opens with Witness to Your Love, a rare Garbage recording dating back to 2008. Previously included on the band's Anthology collection, the song receives its first vinyl appearance on this release. Combining Shirley Manson's expressive vocals with atmospheric instrumentation and the band's signature production style, it provides a compelling centrepiece for the collection.

Next is Cities in Dust, Garbage's interpretation of the classic 1985 single by Siouxsie and the Banshees. The band reimagines the influential post-punk recording through its own alternative rock and electronic sound, paying tribute to an artist whose work helped shape generations of alternative musicians.

Side B features two previously unreleased tracks originating from the sessions for Garbage's acclaimed 2021 album No Gods No Masters. Blue Betty and Adam and Eve provide further insight into the band's creative work during this period, making the EP particularly appealing to dedicated fans interested in recordings beyond the standard studio albums.

Issued through BMG and Stunvolume, this limited-edition Record Store Day 2023 release is pressed on transparent red 12-inch vinyl and features distinctive artwork. With four carefully selected recordings across two sides, Witness to Your Love is a collectible addition to any Garbage vinyl collection and an excellent companion to No Gods No Masters.
