Australian electronic duo Hermitude explore new creative territory on Pollyanarchy, their sixth studio album, released in 2019. Formed by multi-instrumentalists Luke Dubber and Angus Stuart, the Blue Mountains duo have become one of Australia's most distinctive electronic acts, combining hip-hop influences, inventive sampling and powerful electronic production. Following the success of Dark Night Sweet Light, Pollyanarchy introduces a broader range of international collaborators while retaining the rhythmic energy and adventurous sound that have defined their career.

The album opens with the atmospheric instrumental Pilot Light, setting the scene for a collection that moves between energetic electronic production and melodic, vocal-driven songwriting. Stupid World, featuring American singer Bibi Bourelly, pairs punchy beats with an expressive vocal performance, while Swerve, featuring Wes Period, brings a playful hip-hop influence. Northern Lights features Soaky Siren and Vory, blending melodic hooks with contemporary electronic rhythms, while Phew reunites the duo with Bibi Bourelly for another standout collaboration.

Elsewhere, Dusk Till Dawn features Chicago rapper Vic Mensa, bringing a sharper hip-hop edge to the album. The instrumental Balafono showcases Hermitude's detailed production and rhythmic experimentation, while OneFourThree, featuring Buddy and BJ the Chicago Kid, combines soulful vocals with warm electronic textures. Australian electronic group Haiku Hands appear on the energetic Let It Burn, followed by Every Day featuring Hoodlem. The album closes with Glorious, a collaboration with acclaimed Australian duo Electric Fields, bringing the record to an uplifting conclusion.

Released through respected Australian independent label Elefant Traks, Pollyanarchy reflects Hermitude's increasingly international outlook and willingness to experiment with different musical styles.
