John Butler Trio – Three (Vinyl 2LP)

Originally released in 2001, Three is the second studio album from The John Butler Trio and one of the defining early releases in the band's catalogue. Blending roots rock, folk, blues and acoustic groove with socially conscious songwriting, the album helped establish John Butler as one of Australia's most distinctive independent artists.

Featuring the enduring favourite "Betterman" alongside "Attitude", "Pickapart", "Money" and "Take", Three showcases Butler's intricate guitar work, rhythmic playing and powerful songwriting across a collection that moves between introspective acoustic passages and extended, groove-heavy performances.

The album was recorded, engineered and mixed by Shaun O'Callaghan at Studio Couch in North Fremantle, Western Australia, and produced by The John Butler Trio and O'Callaghan. The original release went on to win Best Independent Release at the 2001 ARIA Awards, while "Betterman" became one of the band's signature songs.

This Vinyl 2LP edition was remastered for its 2023 reissue and expands the album across four sides of black vinyl. The vinyl sequence includes "Pickapart", "Earthbound Child" and "Don't Understand" alongside the original Australian album material, with the extended instrumental "Foundation" closing Side D.

Supplied brand new and sealed, it's an essential addition for John Butler Trio fans and collectors of Australian roots, folk and independent rock on vinyl.
