Kylie Minogue - DISCO (Vinyl LP)

DISCO is the fifteenth studio album from Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue, released on 6 November 2020 through BMG. A joyful celebration of dance music, glittering synthesisers and irresistible pop melodies, the album draws inspiration from the classic disco era while embracing contemporary electronic production. Following the country-pop influences of 2018's Golden, Kylie returned to the dancefloor with one of the most uplifting and cohesive albums of her career.

Opening track Magic sets the tone with shimmering strings, funky basslines and an infectious chorus that captures the excitement of falling in love. Miss a Thing follows with a sleek combination of electronic rhythms and nostalgic disco influences, while Real Groove delivers one of the album's standout moments, blending pulsating synthesisers, an irresistible bassline and Kylie's unmistakable vocals.

Monday Blues brings playful energy and a bright, upbeat arrangement, while Supernova explores a more futuristic dance-pop sound. The first side closes with Say Something, the album's acclaimed lead single, combining soaring melodies, shimmering production and a message of connection and togetherness.

On Side B, Last Chance embraces classic disco influences with its energetic rhythms and dramatic arrangements. I Love It continues the celebration with an infectious chorus and sparkling production, while Where Does the DJ Go? captures the excitement of a night out with its driving beat and playful lyrics.

Dance Floor Darling builds from a melodic introduction into an energetic dance anthem, showcasing Kylie's ability to blend nostalgic influences with modern pop production. Unstoppable offers a confident, uplifting message, before Celebrate You brings the album to a warm and heartfelt conclusion.

Created during the COVID-19 pandemic, DISCO became a particularly meaningful release, offering listeners a sense of escapism, optimism and connection at a time when dancefloors around the world were closed. Kylie also recorded much of her own vocal material at home, developing new recording skills during the album's production.

The album debuted at number one in both Australia and the United Kingdom, further cementing Kylie's reputation as one of pop music's most enduring performers. Its combination of classic disco influences, contemporary production and memorable songwriting makes DISCO an essential addition to any modern pop collection.

This standard black vinyl LP edition presents all twelve original album tracks across two sides, housed in a gatefold sleeve. From the euphoric energy of Magic and Real Groove to the uplifting melodies of Say Something, DISCO is a vibrant celebration of Kylie's signature dance-pop sound.
