Kylie Minogue – X (Vinyl LP)

Originally released in 2007, X is the tenth studio album from Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue and a defining release in her celebrated career. Arriving after her recovery from breast cancer, the album marked a confident return to recording, embracing the futuristic sounds of electropop, dance-pop and electronic music. Following the success of Body Language, Kylie worked with an international collection of producers and songwriters to create a vibrant, forward-looking album packed with infectious melodies, shimmering synthesisers and dancefloor-ready rhythms.

The album opens with 2 Hearts, a glam-rock-inspired pop single that became a number-one hit in Australia. Like a Drug introduces a darker electronic atmosphere, while In My Arms combines irresistible hooks with sleek production from Calvin Harris and Richard Stannard. The experimental Speakerphone features distorted vocals and pulsing electronic textures, followed by the playful Sensitized, which incorporates a sample from Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot's Bonnie and Clyde. Heart Beat Rock and the euphoric The One complete a first side filled with inventive pop arrangements.

On the second side, No More Rain offers one of the album's most personal and uplifting moments, while All I See explores smooth, contemporary R&B influences. Stars brings an atmospheric quality before Wow delivers another of the record's biggest dance-pop anthems. The minimalist electronic rhythms of Nu-di-ty showcase Kylie's willingness to experiment, while closing track Cosmic brings the album to a reflective conclusion.

Featuring contributions from acclaimed producers and songwriters including Calvin Harris, Bloodshy & Avant, Guy Chambers, Greg Kurstin and the Freemasons, X balances sophisticated electronic production with Kylie's unmistakable pop sensibility. The album reached number one on the Australian Albums Chart and produced several enduring singles, including 2 Hearts, In My Arms, Wow and The One. Its combination of adventurous production and memorable songwriting remains an important chapter in her evolution as an international pop artist.

This 2026 Parlophone edition marks the first official vinyl release of X, presenting all thirteen original album tracks on a black vinyl LP. A welcome addition to Kylie's vinyl catalogue, this pressing offers fans and collectors the opportunity to experience one of her most distinctive electronic pop albums in the classic LP format.
