Lil Wayne – Tha Carter II (Vinyl 2LP)

Tha Carter II is the landmark 2005 album from Lil Wayne, and a pivotal release in his transformation into one of the defining rappers of his generation. The fifth studio album from the New Orleans MC combines Southern hip-hop production with Wayne's increasingly intricate wordplay, distinctive flow and larger-than-life personality.

The 22-track album features Fireman, Hustler Musik, Best Rapper Alive and Money On My Mind, alongside Shooter featuring Robin Thicke and I'm A Dboy featuring Birdman. Other highlights include Tha Mobb, Carter II, Receipt and Fly Out.

Originally released in December 2005, Tha Carter II was the second instalment in Wayne's influential Tha Carter series. With production from a broad collection of collaborators rather than relying on a single dominant producer, the record gave Wayne room to develop the lyrical style and versatility that would define the next stage of his career.

This 2025 vinyl reissue presents the complete 22-track album across two standard black vinyl LPs.
