Mariah Carey – Emotions (Remastered Vinyl LP)

Emotions is the second studio album from Mariah Carey, originally released in 1991. Following her hugely successful self-titled debut, the album gave Carey greater creative control and expanded her sound through a sophisticated blend of pop, R&B, soul, gospel and dance music, showcasing both her extraordinary vocal range and developing skills as a songwriter and producer.

The ten-track album features the chart-topping title track Emotions, alongside the hit singles Can't Let Go and Make It Happen. Other highlights include If It's Over, co-written with Carole King, as well as You're So Cold, So Blessed and the atmospheric closing track The Wind.

Carey worked with a range of writers and producers on Emotions, including Walter Afanasieff, Robert Clivillés and David Cole of C+C Music Factory, and Carole King. The result was a more confident and musically diverse follow-up to her debut, combining powerful ballads with gospel influences and energetic dance and R&B production.

This 2020 remastered vinyl reissue was released as part of Mariah Carey's #MC30 catalogue campaign and presents the complete original ten-track album on a single 140g black vinyl LP.
