Mariah Carey - Rainbow (140g Remastered Vinyl 2LP)

Rainbow is the seventh studio album from Mariah Carey, originally released in 1999. Building on the R&B and hip-hop direction of Butterfly, the album combines Carey's trademark ballads and vocal performances with a stronger urban influence and an extensive cast of collaborators including Jay-Z, Usher, Snoop Dogg, Missy Elliott, Da Brat, Joe, 98° and Mystikal.

The 14-track album opens with the chart-topping Heartbreaker featuring Jay-Z and also includes Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme), Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now), Crybaby featuring Snoop Dogg and Thank God I Found You featuring Joe and 98°. Also included is the Heartbreaker Remix featuring Da Brat and Missy Elliott.

Rainbow marked another important step in Carey's move towards contemporary R&B and hip-hop while retaining the pop songwriting and balladry of her earlier albums. Its production and songwriting brought together collaborators including Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, David Foster and Diane Warren alongside many of the leading R&B and hip-hop artists of the period.

This 2020 remastered edition presents the complete original 14-track album across two 140g black vinyl records. Remastered at 24-bit high-resolution for vinyl, the double LP comes housed in a gatefold sleeve and includes a digital download.
