MGMT - MGMT (180g Vinyl LP)

MGMT is the self-titled third studio album from American psychedelic pop duo MGMT. Released in 2013, the record finds Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser moving further into the experimental and psychedelic territory explored on Congratulations, combining warped electronics, dense production and surreal songwriting across ten adventurous tracks.

The album features Alien Days, Cool Song No. 2, Your Life Is A Lie and Plenty Of Girls In The Sea, alongside a cover of Introspection by 1960s psychedelic band Faine Jade. From the hazy electronics of Astro-Mancy to the expansive I Love You Too, Death, the album captures MGMT at one of their most uncompromisingly psychedelic points.

MGMT reunited Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser with longtime collaborator Dave Fridmann, who had previously worked with the duo on Oracular Spectacular and Congratulations. Recorded primarily at Tarbox Road Studios, the sessions embraced experimentation and spontaneous studio processes, with Fridmann recording and mixing the album and sharing production duties with MGMT.

This 180g Vinyl LP edition is pressed on 180g black vinyl and includes a printed inner sleeve with lyrics and credits. It features the complete 10-track album across two sides.
