Midnight Oil – Head Injuries (Vinyl LP)

Originally released in 1979, Head Injuries is the second studio album from Midnight Oil and an early landmark in the band's catalogue. Raw, urgent and driven by the energy of their formative live years, the record captures the Oils developing the hard-edged Australian rock sound that would soon make them one of the country's most important bands.

Featuring standout tracks including "Cold Cold Change", "Section 5 (Bus To Bondi)", "Back On The Borderline" and "Stand In Line", the album mixes sharp guitar work, driving rhythms and Peter Garrett's unmistakable vocals with the political intensity that would become central to the band's identity.

Other highlights including "Koala Sprint", "No Reaction", "Profiteers" and "Is It Now?" make Head Injuries a powerful snapshot of Midnight Oil before their international breakthrough, capturing the fierce pub-rock energy that built their reputation around Australia.

This 180g Vinyl LP reissue was released in 2017 and features newly remastered audio cut at Abbey Road, presenting the complete original nine-track album on heavyweight black vinyl.

Supplied brand new and sealed, it's an essential addition for Midnight Oil fans and collectors of classic Australian rock and pub rock on vinyl.
