Nirvana - Incesticide (180g Vinyl 2LP)

Incesticide is the 1992 compilation from Nirvana, bringing together B-sides, non-album singles, radio-session recordings and rarities recorded during the band's formative years. Released between the breakthrough success of Nevermind and the arrival of In Utero, the collection offers a rawer look at Nirvana's punk influences, early recordings and more abrasive side.

The 15-track collection features Dive, Sliver, Been A Son and Aneurysm, alongside Nirvana's versions of The Vaselines songs Molly's Lips and Son Of A Gun. Also included are the Devo cover Turnaround, the energetic (New Wave) Polly and early tracks including Mexican Seafood, Hairspray Queen and Aero Zeppelin.

Incesticide draws from several periods of Nirvana's early history, collecting recordings made between 1988 and 1991 rather than functioning as a conventional studio album. The result captures different stages of Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and the band's evolving sound, ranging from early Sub Pop-era recordings to BBC radio sessions and material recorded during the Nevermind period.

This 180g Vinyl 2LP edition was recompiled and remastered from the original analogue master tapes and recording sources at Bernie Grundman Mastering. The complete 15-track collection is spread across two 180g black vinyl records, cut at 45 RPM and presented in a gatefold sleeve.
