Noah Kahan – I Was / I Am (Limited Edition RSD Blue Vinyl LP)

I Was / I Am is the second studio album from American singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, originally released in 2021. Written during a period of major personal and creative change, the album explores identity, anxiety, relationships and the tension between the person you once were and the person you're becoming, pairing Kahan's introspective songwriting with polished folk-pop and alternative production.

The 10-track album features Part Of Me, Animal, Godlight and Someone Like You featuring Joy Oladokun. Further highlights including Caves, Fear Of Water, Hollow and the atmospheric closing track Howling showcase the emotionally direct songwriting that would become central to Kahan's subsequent breakthrough.

I Was / I Am captures an important stage in Noah Kahan's development as a songwriter, bridging the polished alternative pop of his earlier work with the more organic, folk-influenced direction he would explore further on Stick Season.

This Record Store Day 2024 release presents the complete album on limited-edition Blue Vinyl. Released through Republic Records, it marked a special coloured-vinyl edition of Kahan's second studio album for RSD 2024.
