Oasis – Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants (Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Silver Vinyl LP)

Originally released in 2000, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants is the fourth studio album from Oasis and a fascinating turning point in the band's catalogue. Moving beyond the huge Britpop sound of their first three albums, Noel Gallagher embraced a more experimental approach, incorporating psychedelic rock, electronic textures, loops, samples and unusual instrumentation into the band's trademark sound.

Featuring standout tracks including "Go Let It Out", "Who Feels Love?", "Gas Panic!" and "Sunday Morning Call", the album combines classic Oasis songwriting with a darker and more adventurous sonic palette. The expansive "Roll It Over" provides a suitably epic finale, while "Little James" marked Liam Gallagher's first songwriting contribution to an Oasis studio album.

The album also marked the beginning of a new era for Oasis as the first album released through the band's own Big Brother Recordings label following the closure of Creation Records. Produced by Mark "Spike" Stent and Noel Gallagher, its use of drum loops, samples, electric sitar, Mellotron, synthesisers and backwards guitars gave the record a distinctly different character from its predecessors.

Celebrating 25 years since the album's original release, this Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Vinyl LP is pressed on striking silver vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve. Released on 28 February 2025, it presents the complete original 10-track album across two sides of vinyl.

Supplied brand new and sealed, it's a fantastic collectible pressing for Oasis fans and an excellent way to revisit one of the band's most experimental albums.
