Paul Weller – Soul Wandering (Limited Edition RSD Red 7" Vinyl Single)

Soul Wandering is a limited-edition Record Store Day 2024 single from legendary British singer-songwriter Paul Weller. Pressed on striking transparent red 7-inch vinyl, this collectible release pairs Soul Wandering with Rise Up Singing, two tracks associated with Weller's acclaimed seventeenth solo studio album, 66.

First finding fame as the frontman of The Jam before exploring sophisticated soul and jazz influences with The Style Council, Weller has enjoyed one of British music's most enduring careers. His solo recordings continue to draw on classic soul, rhythm and blues, folk, psychedelia and melodic guitar pop, while retaining his distinctive songwriting voice.

Soul Wandering captures Weller's soulful side, combining a rich groove, warm instrumentation and reflective lyrics with the unmistakable character of his vocals. Its relaxed but purposeful arrangement reflects the musical confidence of an artist who continues to explore new territory decades into his career.

The accompanying Rise Up Singing offers a complementary performance, bringing uplifting melodies and Weller's characteristic blend of soul and classic British pop. Together, these two songs make an appealing snapshot of the creative period surrounding 66, released in May 2024 to coincide with his 66th birthday.

Issued exclusively for Record Store Day on 20 April 2024, this limited-edition transparent red vinyl single comes in a retro-style red Polydor die-cut company sleeve. Its distinctive presentation makes it a desirable addition to any Paul Weller, Jam or Style Council collection.

Pressing note: Some copies play Rise Up Singing on Side A and Soul Wandering on Side B, despite the officially published track sequence being the reverse.
