Pearl Jam – Dark Matter (Limited Edition Red, White & Blue Vinyl LP)

Dark Matter is the twelfth studio album from Seattle rock legends Pearl Jam, released in April 2024. Driven by powerful guitars, urgent rhythms and Eddie Vedder's unmistakable vocals, it captures the band sounding energised and direct. This collectible edition is pressed on limited red, white and blue tricolour vinyl.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Andrew Watt, the album brings together Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament and Matt Cameron. Recorded at studios in Malibu, Los Angeles and Seattle, its eleven songs balance muscular alternative rock with expansive melodies and thoughtful songwriting.

The opening Scared of Fear launches the record with restless energy, followed by the explosive React, Respond. Wreckage offers a more reflective, melodic moment, while the title track Dark Matter delivers driving guitars and a thunderous rhythm section. Won't Tell combines an uplifting chorus with the band's trademark dynamic shifts.

Side B opens with the atmospheric Upper Hand, building from a spacious introduction into a powerful rock performance. Waiting for Stevie highlights McCready's expressive guitar work, and the fast-paced Running brings punk-inspired urgency. Something Special provides a warm, personal contrast before Got to Give and the sweeping closer Setting Sun.

From the raw intensity of its heavier tracks to the emotional weight of its quieter moments, Dark Matter connects Pearl Jam's early alternative rock spirit with their decades of musical experience. This red, white and blue vinyl LP is a distinctive edition for fans and collectors.
