Pearl Jam - Rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991-2003): Volume 1 (Vinyl 2LP)

Rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991–2003): Volume 1 collects the heavier, rock-driven side of Pearl Jam's first twelve years. Originally assembled as part of the band's 2004 career-spanning Rearviewmirror compilation, Volume 1 – the "Up Side" – moves through material from Ten, Vs., Vitalogy, No Code, Yield, Binaural and Riot Act.

The 16-track collection brings together some of Pearl Jam's defining songs, including Alive, Even Flow, Jeremy, Animal, Go, Rearviewmirror, Spin The Black Circle and Do The Evolution. It also includes essential non-album favourite State Of Love And Trust and the Merkin Ball track I Got Id.

The collection opens with the 2004 mixes of Once and Alive, revisiting two of the band's earliest recordings before moving chronologically through their harder-edged catalogue. Taken together, the songs chart Pearl Jam's development from the breakthrough grunge sound of the early 1990s through the increasingly diverse alternative rock of their later Epic years.

This 2022 vinyl reissue presents Volume 1 across two standard-weight black vinyl LPs, housed in a gatefold jacket with two printed inner sleeves featuring credits and photos. It contains the complete 16-track "Up Side" of the original Rearviewmirror compilation.
