Originally released in 2004, Wave Of Mutilation: Best Of Pixies is an essential career-spanning collection from one of the most influential alternative rock bands of all time. Drawing from the Pixies' classic early catalogue, the compilation traces the band's evolution from the raw energy of Come On Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa through Doolittle, Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde.

Across 23 tracks, the collection brings together many of the band's defining songs, including "Where Is My Mind?", "Debaser", "Here Comes Your Man", "Monkey Gone To Heaven", "Gigantic" and "Wave Of Mutilation". It also reaches deeper into the catalogue with favourites such as "Caribou", "Hey", "Gouge Away", "Velouria" and "Alec Eiffel".

Led by the distinctive songwriting and vocals of Black Francis alongside Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering, Pixies helped reshape alternative rock with their explosive dynamics, unconventional song structures and mix of abrasive guitars and irresistible melodies. Their influence can be heard throughout the alternative and indie rock that followed.

This 180g Vinyl 2LP edition presents all 23 tracks across four sides of heavyweight black vinyl and comes housed in a gatefold sleeve. The collection also includes rarities such as "Into The White" and the band's version of Neil Young's "Winterlong".
