Pixies - Come On Pilgrim (180g Vinyl LP)

Originally released in 1987, Come On Pilgrim was the first commercial release from Pixies and introduced the distinctive sound that would make them one of the most influential alternative rock bands of their generation. Raw, eccentric and immediately recognisable, the record combines jagged guitars, explosive dynamics and Black Francis' surreal songwriting across eight tightly packed tracks.

Featuring early Pixies favourites including "Caribou", "Vamos", "The Holiday Song" and "I've Been Tired", Come On Pilgrim captures the band before their breakthrough debut album Surfer Rosa. Its mix of punk energy, melodic hooks and unpredictable song structures laid much of the groundwork for the alternative rock sound that followed.

The eight tracks were drawn from the band's legendary early demo recordings made at Fort Apache Studios in Boston with producer Gary Smith. Songs including "Isla de Encanta", "Nimrod's Son" and "Levitate Me" showcase the chemistry between Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering in its earliest recorded form.

This 180g Vinyl LP reissue presents the original eight-track release on heavyweight black vinyl through 4AD.
