Pixies - Surfer Rosa (180g Vinyl LP)

Originally released in 1988, Surfer Rosa is the debut studio album from Pixies and one of the defining records of alternative rock. Raw, unpredictable and hugely influential, the album established the band's distinctive mix of abrasive guitars, surreal lyrics, melodic hooks and dramatic quiet-loud dynamics.

Featuring the iconic "Where Is My Mind?" alongside "Gigantic", "Bone Machine" and "Cactus", Surfer Rosa captures Pixies at their most immediate and uncompromising. Its combination of jagged punk energy and unexpected pop melody would go on to influence countless alternative rock bands throughout the 1990s and beyond.

Produced and engineered by Steve Albini at Q Division Studios in Boston, the album is renowned for its raw, spacious production and distinctive drum sound. Tracks such as "Break My Body", "River Euphrates", "Vamos" and "Brick Is Red" showcase the chemistry between Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering.
