Pixies – Trompe Le Monde (Remastered Vinyl LP)

Originally released in 1991, Trompe Le Monde is the fourth studio album from Pixies and the final record from the band's original run before their 1993 split. Fast, energetic and packed with inventive guitar work, the album pushed the band's alternative rock sound further into power pop and space rock while retaining the strange, unpredictable character that defined their earlier records.

Featuring standout tracks including "Planet of Sound", "Alec Eiffel", "Letter to Memphis" and "Motorway to Roswell", Trompe Le Monde races through 15 tracks of distorted guitars, melodic hooks and Black Francis' fascination with UFOs, science fiction and conspiracy theories.

Produced by Gil Norton, the album also includes Pixies' distinctive cover of "Head On", originally recorded by The Jesus and Mary Chain. Tracks such as "U-Mass", "Subbacultcha" and "The Sad Punk" capture the heavier side of the band, while the album's more atmospheric moments build on the space-rock influences explored on Bossanova.

This 2026 Remastered Vinyl LP edition features newly remastered audio by engineer Kevin Vanbergen, who returned to the band's original analogue tapes to create the new master. Pressed on black vinyl through 4AD, it presents the complete original 15-track album with refreshed audio for this latest reissue.
