Queen – News of the World (Limited‑Edition Olive Green Vinyl LP)

News of the World combines some of Queen’s most direct rock songs with changes in style that make the album broader than its opening anthems. Released in 1977, it moves from massed vocals and hard guitar into quieter piano-led material and more unusual rhythmic arrangements.

We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions establish its public-facing character, while Spread Your Wings, It’s Late and My Melancholy Blues reveal different strengths in the band’s writing. The contrast between those songs helps the full album retain its interest beyond the two tracks most often heard together.

This 2022 edition is pressed on 180g olive green vinyl and contains the original eleven-track programme.
