Royel Otis – (Hickey) (Indie Exclusive Soda Pop Bottle Vinyl LP)

hickey is the second studio album from Australian indie rock duo Royel Otis, released in August 2025. Following the success of their acclaimed debut album Pratts & Pain, Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic return with a vibrant collection of guitar-driven indie rock, infectious melodies and emotionally direct songwriting. Combining sun-soaked guitars, dreamy textures and irresistible pop hooks, hickey captures the distinctive sound that has made the Sydney duo one of Australia's most exciting contemporary bands.

The 13-track album features standout singles moody, car and say something, alongside highlights including i hate this tune, good times, torn jeans, dancing with myself and more to lose. Moving between breezy indie pop, energetic guitar rock and reflective moments, the album explores relationships, growing up and the emotional confusion of young adulthood.

With its jangling guitars, memorable choruses and effortlessly melodic arrangements, hickey builds on the musical foundations established by Royel Otis' earlier releases while presenting a more confident and polished sound. The duo's ability to combine nostalgic alternative rock influences with fresh, contemporary songwriting gives the album an immediate appeal, balancing playful energy with moments of vulnerability and introspection.

Released through Ourness and Capitol Records, hickey marks another important chapter for Royel Otis following their growing international recognition. The album showcases their gift for crafting distinctive guitar-pop songs that feel equally at home on festival stages, alternative radio and a turntable.

This official 2025 Indie Exclusive Limited Edition presents the complete 13-track album on a single Soda Pop Bottle coloured vinyl LP.
