Rufus Du Sol - Solace (Vinyl LP)

Solace is the third studio album from Australian electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL, originally released in 2018. Written and recorded after the band relocated to California, the album blends atmospheric electronic production, melodic house and emotionally charged songwriting, marking a darker and more introspective progression from their earlier albums Atlas and Bloom.

The nine-track album features Underwater, No Place, Lost In My Mind and Treat You Better, alongside the expansive closing track Another Life. Tyrone Lindqvist's distinctive vocals sit at the centre of the record, surrounded by layered synthesisers, driving rhythms and the spacious electronic production that has become synonymous with RÜFÜS DU SOL.

Solace was created by RÜFÜS DU SOL members Tyrone Lindqvist, James Hunt and Jon George and became another major release for the Sydney-formed trio. The album received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, while Underwater was nominated for Best Dance Recording.

This 2023 Australian repress presents the complete nine-track album on a single 180g black vinyl LP, housed in a gatefold sleeve. Released through Sweat It Out! and Rose Avenue Records, it is an ideal vinyl edition of one of RÜFÜS DU SOL's defining albums.
