Sepultura - Beneath The Remains (180g Remastered Vinyl 2LP)

Beneath The Remains is the third studio album from Brazilian metal legends Sepultura, originally released in 1989. The band's major-label debut for Roadrunner Records, it marked a major step forward in their sound, combining the aggression of their early work with increasingly precise musicianship, powerful production and the technical thrash metal style that would establish Sepultura internationally.

The nine-track original album features some of Sepultura's most enduring recordings, including Beneath The Remains, Inner Self, Mass Hypnosis, Slaves Of Pain and Primitive Future. From the opening title track through to the relentless closing moments of Primitive Future, the album captures Max Cavalera, Igor Cavalera, Andreas Kisser and Paulo Jr. at a pivotal point in the band's development.

Recorded at Nas Nuvens Studio in Rio de Janeiro with producer Scott Burns, Beneath The Remains helped bring Sepultura to a worldwide metal audience. This expanded edition also offers a fascinating look behind the finished album, with previously unreleased mixdown recordings from the Rio sessions alongside a live recording of Troops Of Doom from the Zeppelinhalle in West Germany on 22 September 1989.

This Deluxe Edition features the 2019 remaster of the original album on the first LP, with the second LP devoted to alternative Rio/Nas Nuvens recordings and the live version of Troops Of Doom. The complete 19-track collection is pressed across two 180g black vinyl LPs and housed in a gatefold sleeve.
