Silverchair – Frogstomp (2LP 180g Audiophile Vinyl Record Etched D-Side)

Frogstomp introduced Silverchair with a heavy, direct sound rooted in the grunge and alternative rock of the early 1990s. Released in 1995, the Newcastle trio’s debut combines Daniel Johns’ rough-edged vocals with forceful bass and drums, placing the emphasis on strong riffs and immediate songs.

Tomorrow and Pure Massacre became the record’s best-known tracks, while Israel’s Son and Faultline underline its darker mood. Shade and Suicidal Dream slow the pace, giving the album more contrast than its hardest moments might suggest.

This Music On Vinyl edition is pressed on two 180g black records. It includes the vinyl-only track Blind, with music across three sides and an etched, non-playing fourth side.
