Spiderbait – Greatest Hits (25th Anniversary Edition 180g Vinyl 2LP)

Greatest Hits brings together 23 essential tracks from Australian alternative rock favourites Spiderbait, spanning the band's journey from their early underground recordings through to their biggest commercial successes. Originally released as a compilation in 2005, the collection captures the unmistakable combination of punk energy, fuzzy guitars, infectious pop hooks and distinctly Australian character that made Spiderbait one of the country's most enduring alternative rock bands.

The collection includes Spiderbait's chart-topping version of Black Betty alongside favourites including Buy Me A Pony, Calypso, Shazam!, Glockenpop, Stevie, Four On The Floor and Fucken' Awesome. Earlier tracks including Old Man Sam, Circle K and Scenester trace the band's roots and give the compilation a broad overview of their evolution.

Formed in Finley, New South Wales in 1989 by Janet English, Kram and Damian Whitty, Spiderbait developed a sound that could move effortlessly between noisy punk-influenced rock, heavy riffs and sharp melodic pop. Across a career spanning multiple decades, the trio became one of Australia's most recognisable alternative rock acts, with Greatest Hits providing an excellent introduction to their catalogue.

This 25th Anniversary Edition was released to commemorate 25 years since Spiderbait's formation and marked the first time Greatest Hits was pressed on vinyl. The complete 23-track collection is spread across two heavyweight 180g black vinyl LPs.
