The Beatles - Please Please Me (180g Remastered Vinyl LP)

Please Please Me is the debut studio album from The Beatles, originally released in 1963 and the record that introduced John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr to album audiences in the UK. Capturing the energy of the band's early live performances, it combines Lennon-McCartney originals with rock 'n' roll, R&B and pop covers that were already staples of their stage set.

The 14-track album includes early Beatles classics I Saw Her Standing There, Love Me Do, P.S. I Love You, Please Please Me and Do You Want To Know A Secret. The album closes with their explosive recording of Twist And Shout, while covers including Anna (Go To Him), Chains, Boys and Baby It's You reflect the American rock, soul and R&B that shaped the band's early sound.

Much of Please Please Me was famously recorded at EMI Studios in London during a single marathon session on 11 February 1963, with producer George Martin. The resulting album became the starting point for an extraordinary run of Beatles studio releases and remains a snapshot of the group just as Beatlemania was beginning to take hold.

This 2012 stereo remastered edition is pressed on 180g black vinyl and uses the acclaimed 2009 stereo digital remaster. The vinyl was cut at Abbey Road Studios using non-limited 24-bit digital masters sourced from the original analogue master tapes, with the classic album artwork reproduced for the LP presentation.
