The John Butler Trio – Home (White Vinyl 2LP)

Home is the seventh and final studio album from Australian roots favourites The John Butler Trio, originally released in 2018. The album finds John Butler expanding the band's familiar roots, folk and blues foundations with electronic textures, programmed beats and broader contemporary production while retaining the distinctive guitar work and socially conscious songwriting that defined the Trio's career.

The 12-track album features Home, Wade In The Water, Just Call, Running Away and Tell Me Why, alongside the expansive Faith and Coffee, Methadone & Cigarettes. Tracks including Tahitian Blue, Miss Your Love and We Want More further showcase the album's combination of organic instrumentation, groove-driven rhythms and electronic production.

Home was produced by John Butler and Jan Skubiszewski and recorded at Red Moon Studios in Victoria and The Compound in Western Australia. Butler is joined by longtime bassist Byron Luiters and drummer Grant Gerathy, with additional contributions from Mama Kin, Jan Skubiszewski and other guests. The album was mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound.

This Australian vinyl edition presents the complete 12-track album across two white vinyl LPs, with three tracks on each side. Released through Jarrah Records, it comes housed in the album's gatefold packaging.
