The Jungle Giants - Learn to Exist (Limited Edition Orange Vinyl LP)

Learn to Exist is the debut studio album from Brisbane indie-rock band The Jungle Giants, originally released in August 2013. Bursting with infectious guitar melodies, energetic rhythms and youthful songwriting, the album introduced the band's distinctive blend of indie rock, alternative pop and danceable guitar-driven music. Led by vocalist and guitarist Sam Hales, The Jungle Giants quickly became one of Australia's most exciting emerging independent acts, and Learn to Exist captures the bright, spontaneous energy of their early years.

Opening track Come and Be Alone with Me establishes the album's playful character with its sharp guitar riffs, driving percussion and instantly memorable melodies. I Am What You Want Me to Be continues that momentum, pairing rhythmic guitar work with Hales' distinctive vocals, while Got Nothing to Lose delivers another burst of energetic indie pop. A Pair of Lovers introduces a more reflective atmosphere, demonstrating the band's ability to balance upbeat arrangements with thoughtful songwriting.

Elsewhere, Truth May Hurt explores a more expansive sound, building through expressive guitar arrangements and dynamic shifts. Devil's in the Detail combines infectious rhythms with intricate instrumental interplay, while Skin to Bone brings the band's energetic guitar-driven approach back into focus.

One of the album's standout moments is She's a Riot, a lively indie-rock anthem that became an early favourite among fans. With its catchy hooks, playful lyrics and propulsive rhythms, the song perfectly captures the spirit of The Jungle Giants' early sound. Domesticated Man and Anywhere Else continue the album's combination of bright melodies and tightly arranged instrumentation, before Home provides a warm, reflective conclusion.

Released through Amplifire Music, Learn to Exist helped establish The Jungle Giants as a significant presence in Australia's independent music scene. The album showcases the chemistry between Sam Hales, Cesira Aitken, Andrew Dooris and Keelan Bijker, blending jangling guitars, melodic basslines and energetic drumming into a cohesive collection of indie-rock songs.

This limited-edition orange vinyl LP presents the album's eleven vinyl tracks across two sides. The release includes an artwork insert and digital download card, making it an appealing edition for collectors of Australian indie rock and fans of The Jungle Giants' early recordings.
