Quiet Ferocity is the third studio album from Brisbane indie-rock favourites The Jungle Giants, released in July 2017 through Amplifire Music. Following Learn to Exist and Speakerzoid, the band embraced a more groove-driven sound, combining their signature jangling guitars and infectious melodies with dance-rock rhythms, shimmering synthesisers and playful indie-pop arrangements. Led by vocalist and guitarist Sam Hales, Quiet Ferocity captures the band's growing confidence and musical experimentation.

Opening track On Your Way Down establishes the album's energetic character with a hypnotic bassline, bright guitar textures and irresistible rhythmic momentum. Feel the Way I Do follows with one of the band's most recognisable indie-dance grooves, pairing infectious melodies with a driving beat and Hales' distinctive vocals. Both tracks became standout singles, helping introduce the band's evolving sound to a wider Australian audience.

Bad Dream explores a darker, more atmospheric direction while maintaining the record's danceable energy. Used to Be in Love combines sharp guitar riffs, rhythmic percussion and catchy vocal hooks, while the title track Quiet Ferocity stretches into a more expansive arrangement, blending psychedelic textures with the band's increasingly adventurous production.

The second side opens with Time and Time Again, a melodic track built around warm instrumentation and carefully layered rhythms. Waiting for a Sign continues the album's combination of indie rock and electronic influences, while Blinded delivers another infectious groove. In the Garage showcases the band's willingness to experiment with extended arrangements before People Always Say closes the album with an energetic, memorable finale.

Recorded in Brisbane, Quiet Ferocity was produced by Sam Hales and Konstantin Kersting. The album highlights the chemistry between Hales, guitarist Cesira Aitken, bassist Andrew Dooris and drummer Keelan Bijker, combining tightly arranged performances with a more polished, dance-oriented production style. Its blend of indie rock, psychedelic pop and rhythmic experimentation helped establish The Jungle Giants as one of Australia's leading independent bands.

This limited-edition pink vinyl LP presents all ten tracks across two sides in a gatefold sleeve. Released through Amplifire Music, this collectible coloured pressing is an excellent addition for fans of Australian indie rock, indie pop and dance-driven alternative music.
