The Menzingers – Some Of It Was True (Indie Exclusive Red Splash Vinyl LP)

Some Of It Was True is the seventh studio album from The Menzingers, released in 2023 through Epitaph Records. The Philadelphia punk rock favourites bring together the anthemic hooks, lived-in storytelling and heart-on-sleeve songwriting that have defined their career, while capturing more of the raw energy and immediacy of the band's live performances.

The 13-track album features Hope Is A Dangerous Little Thing, There's No Place In This World For Me, Come On Heartache and Try, alongside highlights including Ultraviolet, Nobody Stays, Alone In Dublin and the closing Running In The Roar Of The Wind.

Recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch studio in El Paso, Texas, Some Of It Was True was produced by Brad Cook. The band approached the sessions with the goal of capturing how The Menzingers sound together on stage, giving the record a rich but immediate feel that combines punk rock energy with melodic rock, power-pop and Americana influences.

This Indie Exclusive coloured vinyl edition is pressed on distinctive Red Splash vinyl, also marketed as Strawberry Shortcake Splash / Cherry Bomb Splash. The single LP is housed in a gatefold sleeve and contains the complete 13-track album.
