The Smile - A Light for Attracting Attention (Limited Edition Yellow Vinyl 2LP)

A Light for Attracting Attention is the debut studio album from The Smile, the trio of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood with drummer Tom Skinner of Sons of Kemet. Released in 2022, the album combines art rock, experimental rock, post-punk and jazz influences, pairing Yorke's unmistakable vocals with Greenwood's inventive guitar and orchestral arrangements and Skinner's intricate, propulsive rhythms.

The 13-track album features You Will Never Work In Television Again, The Smoke, Pana-vision, Free In The Knowledge and Skrting On The Surface. Other highlights include Thin Thing, Open The Floodgates and We Don't Know What Tomorrow Brings, moving between tense guitar-driven tracks, atmospheric electronic textures and richly arranged orchestral passages.

Produced and mixed by longtime Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich and mastered by Bob Ludwig, A Light for Attracting Attention also features strings from the London Contemporary Orchestra and brass from contemporary UK jazz musicians including Byron Wallen, Theon and Nathaniel Cross, Chelsea Carmichael, Robert Stillman and Jason Yarde. The album's distinctive visual artwork was created by Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke.

This limited edition presents the complete 13-track album across two yellow vinyl LPs, housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner bags containing lyrics.
