Tinashe – Popstar (140g Stardust Vinyl LP)

American singer, songwriter and producer Tinashe embraces her creative freedom on Popstar, her eighth studio album, released in September 2026. Known for blending contemporary R&B with experimental pop, electronic music and hip-hop influences, Tinashe has established herself as one of the most versatile artists in modern alternative R&B. Following the success of her 2024 album Quantum Baby and the viral breakthrough of Nasty, Popstar finds her confidently redefining what it means to be a pop artist on her own terms.

The album opens with Sunglasses, introducing a collection built around expressive vocals, adventurous production and Tinashe's unmistakable melodic style. Too Easy combines playful songwriting with infectious rhythms, while Melatonin explores a more atmospheric electronic sound. Empty Stadium, Flashbacks and Overdramatic continue the album's movement between intimate R&B and forward-thinking pop, with each track revealing a different side of her musical personality.

Elsewhere, I'd Rather Be Alone highlights Tinashe's talent for emotionally direct songwriting, while Crash Out brings a more energetic and rhythm-driven approach. The second side opens with Pillow Fight, followed by Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore, a title that reflects the album's playful engagement with contemporary pop culture. Twentyfive Eight and The Show Must Go On lead into the title track, Popstar, before Brainrot, Cloud 9 and Heavy Weight complete the album's sixteen-song journey.

Across Popstar, Tinashe draws on her experience as an independent-minded performer and producer, refusing to be confined to a single genre. Her music moves naturally between alternative R&B, electronic pop, dance music and hip-hop, combining polished vocal arrangements with distinctive rhythmic textures. The album follows a period of renewed commercial recognition, including the success of Nasty and her collaboration with Disco Lines on No Broke Boys, while maintaining the experimental spirit that has shaped her catalogue.

This Stardust vinyl edition presents Popstar on a 140g coloured vinyl LP, housed in a gatefold sleeve. Released through Atlantic Records, it features all sixteen album tracks across two sides.
